Hello! I’m back from New York and will tell you guys all about it in the upcoming weeks! It was a much needed trip and I just love the city and everything it has to offer. I’m looking forward to the weekend and in need of some serious R&R…
Here are my essentials:
A Good Book:
I don’t have a lot of time to read, but I absolutely loved the book, “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?” I’m a big fan of the Mindy Project and think Mindy is absolutely HILARIOUS. This book is totally like the show!
If I’m at home and there’s nobody coming over, there’s a 99% chance that I’m in my pajamas. Or leggings and a sweatshirt like right now. Comfort is basically my best friend. These pajamas are comfortable, and I love that they are breathable so I don’t turn into a sweaty Betty in the middle of the night.
Hot Lemon Water
I swear by this. I used to get sick all the time, and ever since I’ve started drinking this, my colds have either been prevented, or they go away pretty quickly. I love boiling a kettle of water first thing in the morning and just refilling my mug throughout the day if I spend it at home. And if you’re bored with the flavor, add a little honey and cayenne pepper for a fun kick that’s metabolism boosting!
Nature sounds make me long for a facial at the spa, and I love classical music. A lot of my friends say they only listened to it when they were studying in college or wanted to fall asleep. I however find this music mentally stimulating, and I enjoy figuring out what the patterns are in each song. ..its probably my background in violin that makes me appreciate this. I’m particular to violin Spanish style/gypsy music– it was always my favorite style of music to play when I studied violin and I find it fascinating to listen to!
A cozy candle:
Once in a while, I’ll splurge on a Dyptique candle, or pick up a Yankee Candle!
What are your R&R must haves?!
